On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia condemned the cartoons that offend the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, stressing its rejection of any attempt to link Islam and terrorism.
An official source at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “The Kingdom rejects any attempt to link Islam with terrorism, and condemns the offensive cartoons of the Prophet of Guidance and the Messenger of Peace Muhammad bin Abdullah, peace be upon him, or any of the messengers, peace be upon them.”
The official also affirmed that the kingdom “condemns every terrorist act, regardless of its perpetrator, and calls for intellectual and cultural freedom to be a beacon that radiates respect, tolerance and peace,” according to a statement published by the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
He added, “Saudi Arabia also rejects all practices and actions that generate hatred, violence and extremism and violate the values of coexistence and mutual respect among the peoples of the world.”

The statement did not mention calls in some Islamic countries to boycott French products because of the offensive cartoons.
On October 21, Macron said, in a press statement, that France would not abandon the “caricatures” of the Prophet Muhammad; This sparked a wave of anger throughout the Islamic world, and campaigns were launched in some countries to boycott French products and goods.
