On Wednesday, the US embassy in the UAE warned its citizens of the possibility of terrorist groups targeting Americans and Washington’s interests in the Gulf.
This came in a statement of the embassy published on its website.
The embassy called on the Americans in the Emirates to take “the utmost caution” against the backdrop of global threats of terrorist attacks, including targeting terrorist groups against American citizens and US interests in the Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula.
The statement stated that terrorist groups “continue to plan to carry out terrorist attacks against Western targets, whether through suicide attacks, assassinations, kidnappings, and bombings.”
