The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) announced that 4 citizens were killed and 152 injured in the earthquake that struck Izmir, in the west of the country.
The Turkish “Afad” said in a statement: “According to the information obtained from the Disaster Coordination Center, 4 of our citizens lost their lives, one of whom drowned, and 152 others were injured.”
It indicated that it will send emergency aid to be used in the activities carried out in the region

It pointed out that 3 mobile coordination trucks headed from the neighboring states to Izmir.
Earlier Friday, an earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale struck Izmir, western Turkey, according to a statement by “AFAD”.
The statement added that the earthquake centered on the Aegean Sea, and it occurred 17 km from the coast of the city of Sifrihisar, in the state of Izmir, and at a depth of 16.54 km below the surface of the earth.
