The Qatar Stock Exchange announced, on Sunday, that the profits of its listed companies during the first nine months of 2020 have decreased to 23.8 billion riyals ($ 6.64 billion).
According to the Qatar Stock Exchange statement, the profits of 47 companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange during the nine-month period decreased by 17.9 percent on an annual basis, compared to 28.9 billion riyals ($ 8 billion) in the same period of 2019.
The Qatar Stock Exchange is the second largest market in the region in terms of market value, after Saudi Arabia, with about $ 156 billion, according to the close of the Sunday session.
The companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange are divided into 7 main sectors, namely banking and financial services, industry, real estate, transport, telecommunications, goods and consumer services, and insurance.
