From under the rubble to the world
Sarah Kayali is an eight-year-old girl from Hazano village in Idlib countryside
She was born on the ruins of destroyed homes. Since her birth, she has heard nothing but the sound of missiles and planes, and yet she reaches the world today thanks to her mathematical genius, as she won the grand prize in the global competition for mental computation, organized by the Chinese organization “ACIDA”.
She was able to get first place in the competition, out of 6,114 male and female students participating from (19) countries around the world, and she is also preparing to participate in the next competition, which will be held in Taiwan on December 20, 2020.

An eight-year-old Syrian girl residing in the town of Hazano, Idlib, won first place in an international competition for mental arithmetic.
Media sources said that the child (Sarah Kayali) surpassed about 6000 contestants from all over the world, in a competition organized by “ACIDA” – a Chinese organization based in (Hong Kong) – remotely.
The sources pointed out that among the participants were students from the United States of America, Australia, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Singapore and Uzbekistan.
