Hulusi Akar discussed with Angrett Kramp Karnbauer issues of security and defense at the bilateral level and in the framework of NATO and the European Union.
On Tuesday, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar discussed security and defense issues with his German counterpart, Angret Kramp Karnbauer, in Berlin.
After an official reception ceremony for Akar upon his arrival at the headquarters of the German Defense Ministry, the two ministers held a bilateral meeting.
In press statements after the meeting, Akar said that he had “very sincere and constructive discussions with his counterpart, Karenbauer.”
He explained that they discussed many topics, foremost among which were security and defense issues, whether on the bilateral level or within the framework of NATO and the European Union.
In turn, Karenbauer said that she had held important and intensive discussions with her Turkish counterpart, especially with regard to NATO, and expressed her great happiness to meet Akar in Berlin.
The two ministers affirmed their determination to continue the sincere dialogue between Turkey and Germany.
Akar arrived in Berlin, on Tuesday, as part of an official visit, and visited his country’s embassy in the German capital, before heading to the Ministry of Defense to meet with his counterpart.
