The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority “AFAD” announced the organization of a new competition entitled “Technologies for the Benefit of Humanity”, within the framework of the “Technovest 2021” festival for aviation and space technology.
AFAD indicated in a statement, Tuesday, that 500 thousand people visited the Technovest Festival in its first edition in 2018, while the number reached one million and 720 thousand in the 2019 edition, while the third session was held without visitors, due to the Corona pandemic.
The statement pointed out that the number of competitions for the fourth edition of the festival increased to 34, compared to 23 last year.
He explained that “AFAD” will organize a new competition within the framework of the festival, under the title “Technologies for the Benefit of Humanity”, which will take place in 3 fields, with the aim of solving problems and developing projects in disaster management, health and first aid, and social innovation in economically poor and technologically weak areas.
He added that the deadline for registration for students wishing to participate in various academic levels from inside and outside Turkey is February 28th, through the festival website “www.teknofest.org”.
Istanbul will host the “Technovest 2021” festival from September 21-26, which is an important way to discover the talents of young people participating to display their technological innovations.
