Aid launched from the state of Gaziantep, southern Turkey
The Turkish Religion Endowment, in the state of Gaziantep (south), on Tuesday, sent 5 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Syria to be distributed to the needy.
Hossein Hazerlar, the mufti of the state, said in a speech during the ceremony to send the aid, that they gathered for a good deed that warms the needy in Syria.
“The Anatolia region was and still is the hope of the nation and the oppressed,” he added, referring to his country ‘s sheltering Syrian refugees for years.
He referred to the poor conditions experienced by Syrians fleeing internal conflicts, stressing that his country would continue to stand by the needy at all times.
The ceremony was attended by the governor of Gaziantep, Dawood Gul, the mayor of “Shaheen Bay” district, Chef Shaheen, and a number of local officials and a group of philanthropists.
