A high-ranking Turkish official revealed that Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin agreed to maintain the status quo in the Idlib region.

During his meeting with Erdogan, the Russian President spoke about the importance of cooperation to achieve progress in the talks on Syria, while no final statement was issued about the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkish president praised the reality of relations between the two countries, and said: “We are pleased to note that our relations are developing in a positive manner, and the competent institutions are always working with each other in all directions.”

Rusya Devlet Başkanı Erdoğan ile yaptığı görüşmede Suriye görüşmelerinde ilerleme sağlanması için işbirliğinin öneminden bahsederken, görüşmeyle ilgili nihai bir açıklama yapılmadı.

وتحدث الرئيس الروسي خلال استقباله أردوغان، عن أهمية التعاون لتحقيق تقدم بالمحادثات حول سورية، فيما لم يصدر بيان ختامي عن اللقاء.
وأشاد الرئيس التركي في مستهل اللقاء بواقع العلاقات بين البلدين، وقال : “يسرنا أن نشير إلى أن علاقاتنا تتطور على نحو إيجابي، والمؤسسات المختصة تعمل دائما مع بعضها البعض في جميع الاتجاهات”.
