Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the recent attack that targeted Turkish forces in the countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria, was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Erdogan added, according to what was reported by “Anatolia” agency, that the recent attack on Turkish forces in the “Euphrates Shield” area and the harassment targeting Turkey “has reached an intolerable extent”, vowing that his country will do the necessary.
“We have run out of patience with some areas that are a source of terrorist attacks from Syria towards our country,” the Turkish president added.
Erdogan stressed that Ankara “will eliminate the threats in northern Syria, either through the active forces there or with its own capabilities.”
Yesterday, the Turkish Ministry of the Interior confirmed the killing of one of its soldiers as a result of a “missile attack carried out by terrorists in the area of Operation Euphrates Shield.”
