Yesterday I went to see the premiere in Paris of the documentary “Our Memory” by the wonderful director Rami Farah and the wonderful friends Yadan Drajy Odai Al Talab Rani Mohamad Al Masalma. Throughout the movie, I couldn’t stop crying. The film took me back to the beginning of the revolution in Daraa Governorate, especially to the Al-Sad Road neighborhood, the neighborhood in which I was born, and it is the most neighborhood in the Syrian revolution that knew freedom and dignity with us at a great price for that.
Because of my intense concentration during the screening of the film, my heart was racing with the passage of the events of the film, and there was a tremor in my body that continued until the end of the film. For a moment, I felt that I was reliving this past from the history of the revolution, and I could no longer distinguish between my current reality in Paris and my past reality during the revolution, except when my tears shed again at some scenes, and here comes my awareness that I was in the Pompidou Center cinema in Paris.
The film talks about the memory of three activists: Yadan, Uday and Rani, who meet with Rami on stage to talk about the archive of documents (videos/photos) that they documented with a large group of activists since the beginning of the Syrian revolution in Daraa Governorate. Where, Ramy shows the films secretly shot by these activists on the big screen in the stage and asks the activity about them. They try to retrieve their memory to answer Rami’s questions, and their answers are accompanied by feelings of sadness and happiness.
The philosophy of the film revolves around an important question for those who lived through these tragic events: How do you survive all this violence? Forgetting or remembering? I, by virtue of having the same experience and after watching the movie, say that remembering is better than forgetting. Because it makes us more insistent in our march to freedom and dignity despite everything. After watching the movie, I don’t know what happened inside me, but what I know is that I am more determined to move forward towards the cause of the great people of Syria.
This film is an important historical document, as it documents a stage that changed the contemporary history of Syria forever, which began from Hauran – the land of freedom and dignity – in which media activists played a very important active role, from Muhammad Al-Masalma (Abu Al-Nimr) to all the activists of the Syrian revolution.

“Hafızamız” Suriye devriminin önemli bir sanatsal ve tarihi belgesidir.
Dün harika yönetmen Rami Farah ve harika arkadaşlar Yadan Drajy Odai Al Talab Rani Mohamad Al Masalma’nın “Hafızamız” belgeselinin Paris’teki galasını izlemeye gittim. Film boyunca gözyaşlarımı tutamadım. Film beni Daraa Valiliği’ndeki devrimin başlangıcına, özellikle de doğduğum mahalle olan Al-Sad Yolu mahallesine geri götürdü ve Suriye devriminin bizimle birlikte özgürlüğü ve haysiyetini bilen en mahallesi, bunun için harika bir fiyata.
Filmin gösterimi sırasındaki yoğun konsantrasyonumdan dolayı, filmdeki olayların geçişi ile kalbim yarışıyordu ve filmin sonuna kadar devam eden vücudumda bir titreme vardı. Bir an için, bu geçmişi devrim tarihinden yeniden yaşadığımı hissettim ve bazı sahnelerde gözyaşlarımın yeniden akması dışında, Paris’teki mevcut gerçekliğim ile devrim sırasındaki geçmiş gerçekliğimi artık ayırt edemiyordum. لنا ذاكرتنا” وثيقة فنية وتاريخية مهمة للثورة السورية
ذهبت البارحة لمشاهدة العرض الأول في باريس للفيلم الوثائقي “لنا ذاكرتنا” للمخرج الرائع Rami Farah و للأصدقاء الرائعين Yadan Drajy Odai Al Talab Rani Mohamad Al Masalma. طوال عرض الفيلم، لم استطيع التوقف عن البكاء. ارجعني الفيلم إلى بداية الثورة في محافظة درعا وخاصة إلى حي طريق السد، الحي الذي ولدت فيه، وهو أكثر الأحياء في الثورة السورية التي عرفت معنا الحرية والكرامة مقابل ثمن كبير لذلك.
بسبب تركيزي الشديد خلال عرض الفيلم، كانت نبضات قلبي تتسارع مع مرور أحداث الفيلم، وكانت هنالك رعشة في جسدي استمرت لنهاية الفيلم. للحظة ما احسست بأني أعيش مرة ثانية هذا الماضي من تاريخ الثورة ولم أعد استطيع التميز بين واقعي الحالي في باريس وبين واقعي الماضي خلال الثورة إلا عندما يسيل دمعي من جديد عند بعض المشاهد وهنا يعود إدراكي باني في سينما مركز بومبيدو بباريس.
الفيلم يتحدث عن ذاكرة ثلاث نشطاء : يدان وعدي وراني الذين يجتمعون مع رامي على خشبة المسرح للحديث عن أرشيف الوثائق (فيديوهات/صور) الذي وثقوه مع مجموعة كبيرة من النشطاء منذ بداية الثورة السورية في محافظة درعا. حيث، يعرض رامي الأفلام التي صوروها هولاء النشطاء سرا على الشاشة الكبيرة في خشبة المسرح ويسئل النشاط عنها. وهم يحاولن استرجاع ذاكرتهم للرد على أسئلة رامي وتترافق إجاباتهم مشاعر من الحزن والسعادة.
فلسفة الفليم تدور حول سؤال مهم للذين عاشوا هذه الأحداث التراجيدية: كيف تنجو من كل هذا العنف؟ بالنسيان أو التذكر؟ انا، بحكم معايشتي لنفس التجربة وبعد مشاهدة الفيلم، اقول بان التذكر أفضل من النسيان. لانه يجعلنا اكثر اصرارا في مسيرتنا إلى الحرية والكرامة رغم كل شيء. بعد مشاهدة الفيلم، لا اعلم ماذا احدث في داخلي، لكن ما اعلمه باني اكثر اصرار على المضي قدماً نحو قضية شعب سوريا العظيم.
هذا الفيلم هو وثيقة تاريخية مهمة، حيث يوثق مرحلة غيرت تاريخ سوريا المعاصر إلى الأبد والتي بدأت من حوران -أرض الحرية والكرامة- والتي لعب فيها النشطاء الإعلاميين دوراً فاعلاً بالغ الأهمية، من محمد المسالمة (أبو النمر) إلى كل نشطاء الثورة السورية.
