A Syrian doctor warns of the “way of death” to Europe
A Syrian doctor residing in the European Union considered that asylum in the European Union at the time was not the right decision, and warned of the dangers of the asylum journey through Belarus in particular.

The agency indicated that Qassam Shehadeh is a Syrian doctor who has lived in Poland for three years, when he arrived in the European Union and obtained asylum there, and sometimes volunteers to work at the border to help migrants from the Middle East to Europe.
Shehadeh does not believe that starting the journey to Europe at the present time is a right decision. He noted that about 10 migrants died in the forests along the border with the onset of the freezing winter, and others were injured or suffered without food or water for several days.
Shehadeh said that “the new arrivals are terrified of being forcibly returned to Belarus. What they have seen and experienced in this aspect is a nightmare for them.”
