Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Siromolotov accused what he called “terrorists” of continuing to use civilians in Idlib as human shields.
Siromolotov said that “terrorists” in Idlib target the positions of the Syrian regime’s army, and this situation cannot be accepted.
“The terrorists are constantly trying to attack the Russian base in Hmeimim using drones, and of course we cannot accept this situation and our partners know this,” he added in statements to the Russian “TASS” news agency.
According to Siromolotov, Russia has contributed to “defeating international terrorism” in Syria, as he described it.
